Badges
Badges are the small labels on products that call out a promotion, a status, or something special about the product — "Best Seller", "New", "Extra 30% off with code CHEERS".
You control which products show a badge by adding tags to the product in Shopify. A handful of badges appear automatically based on the product's own settings, such as Out of Stock.

Where badges appear

Only two of these are ranked: the pair above the title, and the promo line under the subtitle. The other messages under the subtitle appear independently of each other.

When a product qualifies for several badges
Every badge slot has a fixed order of preference. If a product qualifies for more badges than the slot holds, the highest-ranked win and the rest do not appear. Each slot's full order is numbered on the two pages linked above.
Some badges come from the product's own settings rather than a tag — Discontinued and
Personalization among them — and they still take a slot. On the product page both outrank
New Arrival and Best Seller.
So if a badge you expect is missing, check whether higher-ranked badges have already filled the slot.

Some tags only work on one or the other — Personalizable shows a badge on collection pages
only, and badge:eoy25clearance on the product page only. Check the page you care about.
Sold-out products

Use No Waitlist for products that are not coming back, so shoppers are not invited to wait
for something that will never return.
Two things to remember
Tags must match exactly, including capitalization. best seller will not work; it has to be
Best Seller. Copy tags from the tables rather than typing them.
Collection page badges are not instant. They appear after the product catalog is next indexed, so a tag can show on the product page before it shows on a collection page. Allow for that when timing a promotion.
